Police arrest Bezza driver who intentionally ran over man in viral video 

37-year-old suspect honked at motorcyclist who then chased him and hit the car windscreen with his helmet

SHAH ALAM — A man with four previous criminal records has been arrested for deliberately crashing into a motorcyclist and running him over, police in Klang said.

Klang Selatan police chief ACP Ramli Kasa said the 37-year-old suspect was arrested in Klang at 1.15 am today. He has been remanded for four days until Wednesday (April 30).

A video showing a red Bezza being driven over a man on the ground went viral on social media this morning.

The incident at Jalan Dato Yusof Shahbudin 28, Bandar Sentosa in Klang, was reported to police by a member of the public at 10.20pm yesterday, Ramli said.

The victim, a 50-year-old man, was riding his motorcycle and tried to avoid some bumps on the road.

However, his actions made the driver of the red Bezza assume that the motorcyclist was riding recklessly.

“The suspect then honked at the motorcyclist, following which the motorcyclist chased after the driver and an argument broke out.

“During the argument, the motorcyclist hit the car’s windscreen with his helmet and the driver then rammed the victim until his motorcycle was dragged under the car,” Ramli said.

The driver of the Bezza left the scene while the victim was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang.

“The victim suffered injuries to both legs and shoulders while his left shoulder joint was dislocated. He is in stable condition,” he said.

“An investigation paper has been opened under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and it will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor soon.” – April 27, 2025
