KUALA LUMPUR — Trophy Knives has unveiled their highly anticipated new single, “.stitches,” now streaming on all major platforms.

The intense track, paired with a slick music video, explores the all-too-human struggle of falling back into destructive cycles, despite the desire to break free.

Blending heavy guitar riffs with haunting synths and raw vocals, the track delves into the emotional battle between growth and relapse. It’s a powerful anthem for those who find themselves repeating painful patterns, even when they know better.

Lead singer Vinnie elaborates on the song’s theme: “This song is about those moments when you think you’ve healed — when you think you’ve moved on — only to find yourself picking at the same scars again, repeating the excruciating destructive cycle. We wanted to explore the frustration, the self-awareness, or the lack of self-awareness, and the numbness that comes from living in that loop in this modern age.”

The title, ‘.stitches’ serves as a metaphor for temporary fixes to deep emotional wounds, with the period at the beginning adding a sense of finality, highlighting the never-ending nature of the cycle.

Self-produced by guitarist Sani Khalid, “.stitches” marks a darker, more introspective direction for the band, following their previous release, Look the Other Way.

Known for their explosive live performances, the band’s latest single showcases a raw vulnerability that resonates with listeners.

The music video for “.stitches,” directed by Rudeen of Sailang Visuals, complements the song’s intensity, offering a haunting, cinematic narrative that amplifies its emotional weight.

The video has already raked up over 44,000 views within just four days of its release.

“.stitches” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and all major digital platforms. – October 21, 2025
