IJM executives recalled by MACC in RM2.5 billion asset probe

KUALA LUMPUR – Two senior executives of IJM Corporation Bhd are expected to return to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya today to assist in ongoing investigations.

At least five other individuals will also be called as witnesses, focusing on corporate governance, procurement processes, financial transactions, and overseas assets estimated at RM2.5 billion.

According to BH, sources revealed that the MACC has already recorded nine statements, including from the two top executives.

“Today, their statements may be continued, along with five additional witnesses,” said one source.

MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that the investigation into IJM remains active, with current efforts centering on tracing and seizing assets suspected to be linked to money laundering activities. – January 21, 2026
