Increasing the floor price of rice procurement and providing additional subsidies to farmers are the proposals to be discussed at the upcoming National Cost of Living Action Council meeting on March 20.
Anwar said the government requires a bit more time to set a fair price for this basic necessity as the interests of both consumers and farmers need to be considered.
